Introducing the PlugStream 7 Family
Meet the new PlugStream 7T and the refreshed PlugStream website

We have refreshed the PlugStream website to make it easier to compare products, understand where each charger fits, and choose the right route for home and commercial charging projects. The biggest change is the introduction of the PlugStream 7 family experience, which brings our single-phase charging range together under a clearer structure.
Instead of treating every 7.4kW charger as the same product, the site now shows the difference between PlugStream 7S and PlugStream 7T much more clearly. Both products sit on the same PlugStream platform, but they are designed for slightly different charging habits.
What is new in the PlugStream 7 family?
The updated PlugStream 7 family page now acts as a comparison point for the two single-phase variants:
- PlugStream 7S is the socketed option, designed for homes, shared parking, and sites where cable flexibility matters.
- PlugStream 7T is the new tethered option, built for drivers who want the charging lead ready every day.
That means homeowners, installers, and project teams can now compare connector format, use-case fit, and daily charging routine before they dive into the full product pages.
Introducing PlugStream 7T
PlugStream 7T is our tethered 7.4kW smart EV charger for drivers who want the fastest, simplest day-to-day charging routine. The integrated cable keeps the bay ready to use, while the wider PlugStream software platform still delivers the smart charging features customers expect:
- tariff-aware scheduling
- solar-aware charging support
- automatic load management
- over-the-air software updates
- open-platform readiness through OCPP
For households with one dedicated bay and a consistent daily charging pattern, PlugStream 7T creates a more immediate plug-in experience without giving up the control, visibility, or future flexibility of the wider PlugStream range.
A clearer route for homeowners and commercial buyers
Alongside the 7 family changes, we have expanded the website content around home charging and commercial charging. The goal is simple: make the site more useful to customers at the point where they are still comparing options, not just when they are ready to buy.
The refreshed content now gives more detail on:
- who each charger is best suited to
- how charger format affects day-to-day use
- installer-friendly hardware and commissioning considerations
- tariff, solar, and software-led charging benefits
- the next step from the 7 family into the PlugStream 22 family
Why this matters
EV charging decisions are not made on connector type or power rating alone. Customers want to understand how the charger will work at the property, how simple it will be to use every day, and whether the system will still make sense as vehicles, tariffs, and site requirements change.
The new site structure is designed to answer those questions earlier and more clearly.
